Because dry chicken sucks●Pack documentation
Three questions, in the order people ask them: how long it keeps, whether you can eat it cold, and how to warm it without undoing the reason you bought it.
1 · How long it keeps
Not 5 days from when it arrived, and not 5 days from when you opened it. The packed-on date is stamped on every pack and the count starts there. Keep it at or below 5°C.
Treat the last day as a hard date, not a suggestion. It is a vacuum-sealed chilled product, which means it is safe because it has been kept cold, not because anything in it stops bacteria growing.
| Where | How long | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Fridge | 5 days | From the packed-on date, sealed, at or below 5°C. The coldest shelf is the bottom one, not the door. |
| Freezer | Longer | It freezes well in its own sealed pack. Freeze it before the fridge date runs out, not on the last day. Freezing stops the clock, it does not turn it back. |
| Opened | Same day | Once the seal is broken the vacuum is gone and so is the date on the front. Eat it that day. |
| Out of the fridge | 2 hours | Take out what you are eating and put the rest back. A pack that spent an afternoon in a bag on a scooter is not one to keep. |
2 · Eating it cold
It arrives fully cooked and sliced, so cold is ready the moment you open it: into a salad, a wrap, a bowl, or off the chopping board on the way past. Nothing is missing and no step is being skipped.
It is not, though, a product that is meant to be eaten cold. That is simply the state it keeps in and travels in. Warming it is not a compromise and it is not you doing it wrong, so do whichever you actually feel like.
What makes cold work at all is the slicing: 5 mm across the grain, which is why it stays tender rather than turning rubbery the way a whole cold breast does. If you have only ever eaten reheated chicken, one pack cold is worth trying before you decide which way you prefer.
3 · Warming it
It has already been cooked to temperature. Warming it is about taking the chill off, not cooking it again, and cooking it again is the one way to get the dry chicken you bought this to avoid.
Four ways, and you only need one. Most people use the first.
In the microwave
From the fridge: 60 seconds, covered. Stop there. Another 30 seconds is the difference between warm and tight. In a pan
From the fridge: two minutes, medium heat, turning once. A splash of water and a lid keeps the steam in and does it faster.Into something hot
Add it at the very end, off the heat. Curry, stir-fry, pasta: it needs the last thirty seconds, not the last five minutes. From frozen
Drop the sealed pack in hot water from the tap for ten minutes. Do not microwave it in the pack, and do not boil it.What is in it
Every portion is 150 g of chicken breast seasoned with salt, white pepper and garlic powder. Four of them then get a sauce.
| Flavour | Protein | Contains |
|---|---|---|
| Naked | 38 g | No sauce, the rub only |
| Honey Mustard | 38 g | Egg, mustard, soy |
| Teriyaki | 38 g | Soy, wheat |
| Spicy Tomato | 38 g | Egg, milk, soy |
| Sesame | 39 g | Egg, soy, wheat, sesame |
Protein figures are calculated from the ingredients and their published panels rather than measured in a laboratory, which is worth knowing before you build a week around one. Everything is made in one kitchen with no clean-down between flavours, so we tell you what a portion contains and never what it is free from.
If something is wrong
A pack that arrived warm, a seal that had gone, or one that simply was not good: message us on WhatsApp and say what happened. A person reads every one of them, and we put right what is on us.
The packed-on date on the front is the useful thing to include. It tells us which cook it came from, and that is what lets us go and check every other pack from the same one. That is the real reason we want to hear about it: one message can catch something before it reaches anybody else.
Portions are Rp 49 000 each, delivered cold across ten areas. In the zone, delivery is on us from 5 portions; below that GoSend or GrabExpress uses the live courier fare. Or take a box every week and stop thinking about it.
